I’ve completed hundreds of USDA-REAP grant applications for farms and rural businesses since 2015, and since the IRA funding was released, REAP is now my primary focus as a grant writer. There is a lot of nuance behind these application forms, and the nuances are becoming especially important as the program gets more and more competitive. Before starting Lightshed, I worked as the lead renewable energy consultant and grants program manager for a non-profit renewables development program in the Southeast.
